Topic 9: PRINCIPAL PARTS OF VERB

All tenses and other verb constructions are formed from the principal parts of the verbs.
Examples:

Simple Form	Present Participle	Past Form	Past Participle
Walk	Walking	Walked	Walked
Run	Running	Ran	Run
Write	Wrote	Wrote	Written
Build	Building	Built	Built
cut	Cutting	Cut	Cut

 
From the above examples, we can classify the verb into two types, regular and iregular.
1. Regular verbs form their past form and pas participle with 'ed', like walked/walked.
2. Irregular verbs are those like ran/run, wrote/written, built/built, cut/cut.
For english language learning, it is necessary to memorise the forms of irregular verbs so as to avoid mistakes in verb forms.
